In my English class we are writing poems about our grandmothers and I need
help starting the poem. Can anyone help?

These newsgroups are intended to provide help in using Word's tools to lay
out documents, not create content. I suggest that you think about your
grandmother and jot down some thoughts about her. If you've been studying
poetry, you should have learned some of the poetic figures of speech such as
simile and metaphor, so think of some things you can compare your
grandmother to. Think about what makes her unique or particularly special to
you. If you have a specific poetry form you are supposed to use, this will
constrain your expression. If you're allowed to use free verse, then just
brainstorm and start writing!

Education is important and should be taken seriously,
"Do your own schoolwork" is a common plea.
Asking another to do your work will not help you learn,
the end result is minimum wage - which is all you'll ever earn.

Or in honor of Dr.Suess' birthday a couple days ago (well, I hope I'm
honoring him anyway <g>):

Schoolwork, homework, that's for you.
It's not something others should do.
It may take all day.
It may take all night.
But a good education is worth the fight.

From here to school,
from school to there,
work, work, work will be everywhere!
