how would I insert a watermark on a power point slide

You can insert Word Art (see icon on Drawing Tool bar) then adjust the fill
and line transparencies. Be sure to send it to back so it doesn't overlap
your content text. Also, if you want it to appear on every slide, place the
Word Art on your slide master.

Michael,

You beat me to it. Remember I don't send posts right away and let them stay
in the "outbox" of OE for a couple of seconds/minutes? While my post was
there, I saw yours. So, I deleted mine. Neat!

About that link/article, I want to highlight the fact that I don't agree
with the last sentence -

**Note After you send it to the back, you can no longer edit or reposition
the image.**

I can always use the "tab" key to make changes even though the object is
hidden, right? Please correct me if I am wrong.

I answered that question in the original thread. It is not a good practice
to insert something into an altogether different subject matter.

I agree this line in this Help article
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA010797741033.aspx) is not
correct. Just as an FYI, when you asked about this originally, I was able
to ping someone about it and have it slated for correction. I know it's on
the fix-list; I don't know when it will actually happen.

Thanks for bringing it up!

Michael,

Sorry, you felt that way. Don't understand what you meant by "altogether
different subject matter?" If someone points me to an article which has a
wrong statement, I certainly like to be alerted.

Just trying to help. Will shut up now.

Echo,

Thank you for relaying the info so that others won't be confused.

Probably my mistake. I answered your same question in another thread awhile
back about "not liking the last question"

Michael,

You wrote: I answered that question in the original thread.

The original thread was started by me on June 1 titled "Draw|Order|Send to
back actually freeze the image?" In that thread, I discussed my concern
about the last sentence of the watermark article. Bill Dilworth responded.
I didn't see your response at all. So, I have no idea what you were talking
about.

Sorry Barbara, when there is confusion, I like clarification.
