How will new profile effect my documents?

I posted previously about having too many profiles in win xp home.
I understand that I can create a new one and delete the other ones.
Question: I have many shortcuts to personal files. Im assuming that I will
need to
re-establish the shortcuts after creating the new profile. Is this correct?

Also: my startup is not configured to log on with a password. does this
matter?

Yes if the shortcuts point to a folder that no longer exists, then they will
need to be recreated or modified. You'll know when you click the shortcut.

I'm not sure what you are asking in your second question. Does it matter
how? If you don't have a password assigned to the new account then it
should login the same way.

Yes and this time use "%userprofile%" variable. The shortcuts will then always
point to the current profile. The advantage is if you create a new profile again
then those shortcuts will still work. The disadvantage is they will not work from
other profiles even if your one exists. You can also use a program/script to
automatically change target of all the shortcuts (the power of gOOgle). Here is a
sample script :

Are you saying that AutoLogin feature is off ?? If yes, then it shouldn't matter
but turning it off will be better.
