How transfer calendar/task list from Outlook Express?

Robin

Old cmptr has Outlook Express 2002. New cmptr has Outlook 2007 (Office
2007). Can I get my old calendar data, (appointments, events, recurring
events) and the data from the Tasks folder to Outlook 2007 and my new cmptr?
I've tried ms support/help and tried following instructions, but I keep
botching it up. Don't know if this is important, but only one computer is
hooked to internet at a time. Thanks.

No such thing. Presumably you mean Outlook 2002. (Outlook EXPRESS doesn't
have a calendar or task list)

No need for internet to transfer your data.
Outlook 2007 uses a new, more robust and much more expandable format of pst
file.
Install Outlook 2007 on the new machine, if you haven't done it already, and
configure your email account(s).
Then on the old machine, with Outlook closed, copy the pst file to the new
machine.
Paste it somewhere like your Documents folder.
The in Outlook, open it.
(Do File-Open-Outlook Data file).
Copy all the data in the old pst to the new.
Close the old pst file.

Your old PC cannot have outlook express 2002 since there is no such program,
presumably you mean Outlook 2002 aka OutlookXP

On the old pc, with outlook closed locate the *.pst file, probably named
outlook.pst, copy to media, from media to Documents folder on new PC
Within OL 2007, File>Open>Data File........browse to your copied pst file &
open it.
Copy whatever to your current default set of Personal Folders

Be VERY, VERY sure you have a real Office 2007, and NOT just the Trial
version, or you will have a unwelcome surprise in 60 days!
