Hi .. I just received from a friend who is traveling for a few years a dvd
with a project on Movie Maker. The file is a MSWMM and i m using XP so my
computer don't recognize it. Its impossible for me to send back this project
so that my friend do the change... Is there a way to convert this movie into
something i can read from my computer or any dvd ? I dont want to make some
change on this file... i know its impossible with XP .. I just want to watch
it .. Please : )

The MSWMM file is the project file which is like the blueprints for a
house.... it doesn't contain the material nor is it put together into
something you can use.

If he/she included the source files on the DVD (pictures and video clips
used to make the project), then you can find someone with Vista who could
publish a movie from the contents.

Best yet, maybe the movie (probably in wmv format) is on the disc too....
explore the disc to see if more than the project file is on it.

THank you for your answer .. Unfortunatly , theres nothing else on the dvd ..
And my friend don t have acces to the same computer she used since it took
more then 2 months to arrived . So even if i find someone with Vista ,
except to watch it , theres no way i could convert it into a other file that
i could watch on my dvd .. ?

Not realy practical to have the newest version ...

Thank you again : )

This has nothing to do with Vista or XP. What your friend sent you is the
equivalent of sending someone the table of contents, without sending the
book. Unless your friend included all the pictures, video and music, used in
her movie on the disk, it is useless. - SORRY

what she should have done, is create her project, THEN exported the project
to a valid movie file. Then she could have burned the movie file to a disk
for you to enjoy. She forgot the "save as a Movie" part.
