How to verify for installed patches

Is there a tool out there that can be used to verify if
ANY particular patch is installed say on windows 2000
system?

Maybe the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer can help you?

All installed patches, hotfixes and SPs should show up on
Add\Remove programs under the Control Panel.

Dajo,

I tried this tool and it tells me what needs to be
installed. Thanks. I was really looking for a tool that
allows the user/admin to type in say a patch number and it
would check on whether or not that is installed on that
system.
