Hi Julien,
Hopefully, the Edit copy edit paste worked
and I can PASTE IN the instructions from Microsoft.
Basically, you canNOT use Windows Mail with your Live Account. To set up the
NEW Windows mail account, you have to enter the information provided to you
by your "internet service provider." for example, if your Original Provider,
BEFORE you signed up for Windows Hotmail, Windows LiveMail, and the such
was for example, Time-Warner, RoadRunner cable, such as mine, or another
such as perhaps AOL or PeopleMail.com, (whatever company), I see you are in
France?
You were given two "numbers" when you signed up, for internet service,
using internet explorer or whatever, a POP account number for outgoing mail,
and a STMP number for Incoming Mail. In order to use
Microsoft Mail, you need to sign up with an INTERNET PROVIDER, such as I am
signed up with Time Warner. the YOUR (e-mail address removed) company, who
provides your internet service. AND we are going through the same issue
Look on your internet service provider bill, or call them and ask. In the
beginning
you were given a set of numbers to keep, (I Just found my file folder, whew),
for example:
email: (e-mail address removed)
POP Server: social.rr.com (Incoming Mail)
STMP Server: STMP.server.social.com (outbound Mail)
Internet Provider ADDRESS: 76.17343.193
Default Gateway: 76.173.32.1
subnet mask 255.256.225.0
DNS Service: 76.173.54.493
ALL Windows Mail needs are your POP Server, and your STMP server. In Windows
Mail, click on HELP, and enter your INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER, numbers. Below
I will attempt to paste
