How to use Group Policy for remote installation?

Hello,

Does W2000 (or W2000 Advanced) Server have services or software able to
control client computers in Domain by means of remote installation,
adding/removing services etc. ?

Vladimir, adding/removing services can be done within a tool in Windows2000
RESKIT, How ever Group Policy can control services.


Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\System Services

Allows an administrator to define the start-up mode (manual, automatic,
disabled) as well as the access permissions (for example, Start, Stop,
Pause) for all system services.

Can you explain more about what you mean with Remote installation?

If you mean software installation. You can assign software's within a Group
Policy to be installed on a users or computer basis. You can read more about
