How to unmodify files to find original text?

I was saving a file and in the same box, created a new folder and dragged
files into it. Somehow, two files, each with different names, ended up having
the same text as the saved file. How can I unmodify and find the original
text of those two files?
Please email at (e-mail address removed) I am using Windows xp and Office
Professional.

If you have saved a document over an existing filename (or replaced a file
with one the same name) the original is gone unless you have a backup.
