How to uninstall Word 2007 trial without losing Word totally?

My Word 2007 trial expired. I could not modify or save docs. Tried to
convert and purchase online, much time invested, blocked by some cookie thing.

Working on deadline, so tried to uninstall thinking I must surely be left
with what I had before installing Word 2007 trial. No Word program on my
Dell laptop with Vista op system.

Invested much more time in a system restore. Tried again to convert. I am
stuck where I started. Long frustrating day, nothing to show for it. Help?

If you wish to retain Office 2007, then buy the disc from a retailer and
avoid all the fuss - and have the disc for when something goes wrong. You
may also be able to find a deal to save you some money.

If you had an earlier full version of Office, and it has been over-written,
then reinstall it from the installation disc or if it is still present,
repair the installation.
