Hi.

I have installed a few security updates, etc from the Microsoft website,
however, since I installed the updates, a program called 'System' now
constantly tries to connect to the Internet. This is slowing my pc down and I
want to remove all the updates which I downloaded, however, only some of them
were listed in 'Add/Remove Programs', which I have removed, but how do I
remove the others? Thank you.

Some updates are not removable
What is saying 'system' is trying to connect

Hi DL, thanks for your reply.

My firewall is saying 'System' is trying to connect, so I know that 'System'
is trying to connect, but I don't want it to. I have already set my firewall
to deny the connection everytime, however, sometimes it tries to connect so
many times, that I am sure it slows my Internet down.

In any case, does that mean that if the updates aren't listed in Add/Remove,
then they are not uninstallable?

If they are not listed in Add/Remove it usually means they are not
uninstallable
System may be a valid connection, it depends if the update reconfigured
something that leads your firewall to think its a completely new connection.
eg I update my browser, next time I connect I get a Firewall warning asking
if I want to allow the connection.

Thanks DL.

I am sure that it's a new connection as I I hadn't done any re-installs, etc
of firewalls, etc.

Is there not a link in the Firewall msg that indicates exactly what is
trying to connect?
