Due to a bad cluster in a critical area I could not
recover and was forced to install a new XP (at
C:\WINDOWS). I was then able to repair the hard drive
error and the original OS at C:\WINNT). Now I have two
OS's and would like to get rid of the last one installed
including all files. There doesn't seem to exist a
vehicle to do this. Anybody know of a clean way to remove
the second OS?

Don't bother, bad clusters ALWAYS spread, eventually making the whole drive
unusable. whilst the computer is working, replace the hard drive -
re-install XP, then add your old drive as slave, and pull off anything you
want. Once this is done, remove the old drive and store somewhere safe, as
you will almost always have forgotten to copy something onto the new drive!

BTW I didn't mean while the computer is switched on!
