Hi,
I have a Dell Latitude D630 laptop. I want to turn up the sound limit
set in windows xp. Is there a way to do it?
Thanks,
Peng
If the sliders are all the way up in the Windows or soundcard mixer,
you'll have to use more powerful speakers. You can access the mixer by
double-clicking on the small speaker in system tray on the right side of
the taskbar, if it's not there, you must go to the sound properties in
the control panel and in the volume tab, make sure that "put the volume
icon in the taskbar" is checked (approximate translation, my Windows is
in French).
Sometimes on laptops there are keys on the keyboard to control the
volume, on my Acer it's "<Fn>+<up arrow>.
Sometimes, my laptop sound line out is connected to 450 watts RMS stage
monitors and that can be VERY VERY DANGEROUSLY LOUD.
