How to turn off non-delivery notifications in Outlook?

I download only message headers from my ISP's mailbox (POP3) and delete spam
without downloading messages body. For some of these messages Outlook
automatically sends non-delivery notifications ("Message was deleted without
reading...") Is it possible to turn off these notifications?

Thanks,
Mike

Those aren't NDAs but read receipts. You can control them in Tools->
Options-> button Email Options-> button Tracking Options..
Default is to always ask.

Roady,

thank you for looking into the problem.

I am sure those messages are non-delivery notifications. I managed to
intercept one and it reads as follows:

------------------------
Your message

To: undisclosed-recipients:
Subject: 5.1Òh»OЖW®ИґеЄєіМÐО¤и®Ч.@!(-$
Sent: 1/19/2038 6:14 AM

was deleted without being read on 5/6/2007 11:13 PM.
------------------------

By the way, the "Return read receipt" option is set to "Always ask..." but I
have never been asked about sending a receipt for those messages.

Thanks,
Mike

That is not an NDA but a Read Receipt; this one tells it wasn't read.

If you mark such a message as Read does it prompt you then?

Roady,

thank you, you are absolutely right! If I mark the message as read (even if
I do not download message body!), I am asked about sending read receipt. I
wonder why I am not asked about sending not-read receipt then!

I think this is a security breach, particularly privacy compromise. Do you
know how to submit security report to Microsoft?

Thanks,
Mike
