XP only offers 2 --- text or news *nws or .txt

This applies to ng posts. As for e-mails, following your
procedure one has (in XP) these options:
Mail (*.eml)
Text Files (*.txt)
Unicode Text Files (*.txt)
HTML Files (*.htm; *.html)
Perhaps you could save it as html then convert it... using format in OE...
copy it into a new message with html format? I dunno...
