I've come to the conclusion that the technical help desk at charter.net is
incompetent. I had problems receiving any newsgoup at all beginning on January
1st... they claimed it was something on my end. He wasn't even aware that
they'd changed their newserver from news.charter.net to nntp.charter.net six
weeks ago. Of course, news.microsoft.com worked perfectly all along. The
charter news server miraculously healed itself about a day later. Of course,
they claimed I was the only one who had problems.
Now I find there are no posts at all in one particular newsgroup.... a normally
very active newsgroup. Is there any type of command that I can use to test it.
Posting a message in alt.test isn't going to do the job... I'm able to send and
receive messages in any other newsgroup that I'm subscribed to.
Ideas?
