how to tell valid cmputer name?? PLease?

Hey there,

Getting a 12292 error in my DC sys log about two computer
account names of the same name - I would like to delete
the unused one - how do I find out which name is valid?

Use ARP.EXE, NBTstat.exe and PING.EXE to test the name of the PC and the IP address/MAC
address that is resultant.

Dave - I am an idiot - it is still not clear to me how to
find out the valid name - don't ask me how, but I have two
exactly the same computer names in AD - I need to delete
one - which one though? Thanks.
