Hello,

Probably an obvious answer, but many thanks for help with:

I have a wireless network at home.

Two PCs: (1)my desktop (2)notebook

How do I best setup a method to keep my Outlook 2000
messages synchronized?

SK,

for sync solutions have a look on this sites:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/sync.htm
http://www.mapistore.com/Outlook/Backup_and_Synchronize/

for sharing solutions (normaly more than a PC and Notebook Groupware)
http://www.mapistore.com/Outlook/Groupware/
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm

If you are using Outlook 98/2000 you can use NetFolders (see on
slipstick/sharing solutions) as a freeware solution. NetFolders are no more
supported beginning with Outlook 2002. Than you will need Exchange or a
Third Party solution.

There isn't, as far as I can see, truly reliable and professional
software out there for this task.

I tried something called "OsaSynch". It is hopeless. It has a huge
error page on the web site, which is a sure sign that the author isn't
exactly at the cutting edge. Looks like a spare time job for someone
whose main job is outside computing.

SynchPst is a lot better.

But even here the user interface isn't that polished. Still, it is
probably the one I will go for when the trial runs out.

The thing I like about it is that you can install it on only one
machine. Connects to the other over the network.

What I would really like is a PC/Notebook equivalent of ActiveSynch
for Windows CE. Then again, some of the commercial products for that
combination simply would not work on my machine. Pumatech's stuff is
particularly baffling.
