How to stop Synchronizing 2 Email servers

We have 2 exchange servers in separate cities that are on the same domain. The problem is that one of our users is synchronizing their outlook (which is fine) and ht attempts to sync with both servers although he is on the local exchange server and should only be synchronizing with the local one. Is there a way I can fix this? We are using Office XP on Exchange 5.5

Is he configured properly? Meaning is his mailbox on the local server and is
his Outlook configured to use the local server?
