Hi

I have a lot of documents saved on my HD and on 3.5 disks. Sometimes I
work and save from my HD and other times from the disk drive.
Sometimes I save docs on my HD and the PC tries to access the a:/
drive. How do I prevent this?

Thanks a lot

If you read from the floppy but want to save to the HD, use "Save As".
"Save" will try to replace the file on the disk whence it came.

Good tip Jim, I will try that and will see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks again

Patrick before you close that application you used to open a file on the
floppy open a file in My Documents with it and then close the application.
For example when I open an Excel file on a floppy before I close out of the
application Excel, I open a Excel file in My Documents then I close the
application.
