How to stop mouse pointer causing flickering fields

My database in Access2003 has stand-alone labels on the input/view form for
instruction and information. Whenever the mouse pointer goes over one of
these the displayed fields' content flicker making it look as if I am about
to loose the data.
Can this be stopped?
