How to stop audio looping forever

My Frontpage 2002 does not allow me to deselect the "Forever" option when
choosing how often my audio file will loop on my homepage. When I uncheck
"Forever" and choose "1" loop, the program rechecks the "Forever" option and
returns the "1" to "0". Can someone help me? Thanks.

With the site open, click Tools > Page Options, and then click the Authoring tab.
Set all dropdowns to custom.

There is no Authoring tab in my Page Options. Only the Compatibility tab has
such dropdowns and these were already set to "Custom."
