Sometimes, when I try to stop a service, I don't succeed to do it, receiving
a messagge "access denied". My system is WinXP HE SP2 and, of course, I have
admin privilieges. So, how to do it?
Thanks.

You might be trying to end a criticle system process that is required by
other running processes, or possibly one that you cannot disable at all
because it is critical and important.

Which one(s) do you get this error for?

Shawn

It is the process to update the Norton AV, Liveupdate, which starts as
service.
Thanks.
