how to squash writing together

I need to squeeze some writing onto one line keeping the hight of the writing
but making the width thinner. Is there a way to do that
 
You can go to Format > Font > second tab and enter values into the
Spacing: Condensed By window -- the letters don't become skinnier, but
the space between them is reduced, and if you do it enough, they'll
start to overlap.
 
In the same dialog, setting the Scale box to a value less than 100% will
make the letters skinnier.
