How to show parts of one slice of pie chart in Power Point?

I have a pie chart with 5 slices and want to visually pull out one of the
slices and further explain how that particular slice is broken down. Is it
possible in Power Point?

A simple way would be to copy the slide, and on the copy click slowly twice
to select the slice and drag it out. When in slide show view it looks as if
it has moved. You could take this a step further and make a few copies, each
with the slice a little further out than the last. Set the slides to advance
quickly. Does this help?

Hi

Make your pie chart and then ungroup (you will need to do this twice) then
for the segment(s) you want to move draw a custom motion path. click and the
segment moves!

Note you wont be able to edit the data in the graph if you do this so if you
need to make a dupe of the original slide and store it somewhere

Did that answer the question / help?

Do you need to be able to animate the slice moving out of the pie chart or do
you just need a static pie chart with one slice pulled out?

Others have answered it from an animation pov. Ever the contrarian, I'll offer
this:

Double click the pie chart to activate it
Click -- but don't doubleclick -- on the slice you want to pull out repeatedly
until it and only it is selected. Then drag it out.
