How to share a printer in peer-to-peer network after enable firewall

Dear all,

I'm working in a small company with a few computer running winxp with
SP2. We've used peer-to-peer sharing of printer and files on different
computers. To increase the security, we enable the firewall option on each
computer but find that the shared resources can't be reach anymore. What
should I do to share resources after enable firewall services!

Look in your firewall's options. You will want to add the lan as
trusted. Usually you do this with an ip range, such as 192.168.1.0 -
192.168.1.254. Look in your firewall's configuration options and/or
help file.

If you mean you are using the Windows firewall, here is a great article

Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Exceptions > select File and
Printer Sharing.
