How to setup my Outlook ?

Hi

Windows XP pro

I am used to Outlook Express. I installed a new hard
drive with more space. I wanted to use from now on
Outlook instead of OE. I installed Outlook from Office
97 pro. I changed my ISP and now can connect to the
internet. But when I tried to send to myself an email
test using Outlook, it returned it undeliverable and
said:

"No transport provider was available for delivery to this
recipient."

I looked at this KB:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=176731

There isn't Mail or Mail and Fax icon in the Control
Panel of my XP. I am new to Outlook and would appreciate
if someone can advise me as to how I can set it up.

Thanks

Is your connection to your ISP by dialup or broadband. If the latter, and
if your ISP requires authentication to the outgoing (SMTP) server, not just
the incoming (POP) server, then Outlook 97 cannot be used. You need at
least Outlook 98 in order to authenticate to the outgoing server.
