How to set up the second hard drive and upgrade Win98 to Win2000?

I have an old PC at home: Win98 installed in a very small
drive. I want to set up second 40GB hard drive and I can
install Win2K (evaluation software) for study purpose.
Do anybody have a suggestion?

Its easy. Put in the second hard drive. In Windows 98 run the Windows 2000
setup, choose a new install and select the second drive for the target. It
will setup a dual boot and you will have the option to boot to 98 or 2000.
