My print preview (and the print itself) leaves a gap between where I put the
left margin and the left edge of the column. How do I get rid of this gap?
It sounds like you may have your document set up to be horizontally centered
on the page? File-Page setup, Margins tab. Untick "horizontally" at the
bottom.
