How to set default encoding for IE 6?

XIA Chengbin

Hello everybody!
Is it possible to set a default encoding for IE6? The problem I have is I am
always receiving muddled text when viewing New York Times pages, as IE 6
automatically renders the pages in Chinese encoding. I would like an Enlish
language encoding set for every page with no preset encoding.
TIA

To change/add a Language Preference within IE:
Click on Tools > Internet Options > and select Languages on the General
tab. Add the language you wish to use, and be sure to put it at the top of
the list.
