How to send scanned image to Microsoft Paint for touch-up?

Guest

I am creating my first Power Point Presentation and I have been inserting
pictures for my slides with my HP PSC 2355v all-in-one Printer/Copie/Scanner.
How can I send ny images to Microsoft Paint for re-work and/or touch-up
before I insert them into my PP Presentation?

You scanner software should give you the option of saving your scan as an image
file that is compatible with what Microsoft Paint can work with. I no longer
have Microsoft Paint on my system, but is there not an option under the file
menu, to acquire and image from your scanner?

What Michael said, kinda sorta, allowing for the fact that he's confused MS
Paint with MS PhotoEditor, I think.

Michael: Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint ;-)

Paint doesn't let you scan in directly, I'm pretty sure, but your scanner
software should let you scan an image and save it to file. Save it to BMP, then
open the file in Paint to do whatever editing you need.

Save again then use Insert, Picture, From File to bring the photo into PPT.

You thunk correct. That's what age does to you ;-o))

But, with the software (PaperPort) that came with (and I have updated) my HP4c
scanner allows me to send my images to Microsoft Paint, Photo Editor, along with
all the other graphics programs I have acquired over the years.

Your correct in that you cannot acquire directly from Paint like you can form
other programs.

Push rather than Pull. What'll they think of next, hey? Quite a few apps are
TWAIN-aware ... hey, it beats fwying and we just wuv the cute choochoo sound ...
and let you scan INTO them. I haven't run into scanner software that lets you
scan TO an external app. Neat.

TWAIN-wecked.

Neat.

I think of it as more of a front door thingy. When you install the software, it
searches your system for graphics editing and other programs that accept
graphics, and puts an icon at the bottom of the screen. when you scan your
whatever, you can then drag it to the icon of your choice.

TWAIN-wecked.

I'm not even going there. It seems like I've been off the TWACK all day.
