I have changed my connection mode to broadband from dial-up. Now, I can't
seem to send or receive mails. The error code is 623 and 0x8007026f. Pls
help, I dunno how to fix..... thanks a million....

Cheers!

Well, it sure looks like you have access to the internet so your problem
must be with the outlook setup.

Try going to Tools/Email account/view change setup/ click on change/click on
More settings/goto connection tab and see that your setting shows connect
thru LAN

Now, I can receive mails, but can't send any out. Any idea how I can fix
this? Thanks a million!

Go back into the setup, you must have changed something while correcting the
receive problem. Since your newsreader can send email (by virtue of your
post) use it as a guide on how the send should be set up.

Posting in a newsgroup is in no way related to sending mail. Different
protocols entirely and different authentication requirements.

Open the Outgoing Server tab of your mail account and check the box labeled
"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and see if that helps.

Brian,

Thanks, you are correct.
