I've created an html email signature that links to an unembedded logo on our
web server. When I send it outside our mail system to other mail clients (web
or otherwise) the logo turns into an attached image. How do I send a linked
(img src=) image without it turning into an attached image? Thanks for your
help!

(Pasted from a previous reply I made in another thread)
In Ol2003 (similar in previous versions I'm sure)
1) Go to Tools | Options -> Mail Format -> Internet Format, and turn OFF the
option "When an HTML message contains pictures located on the Internet, send
a copy instead...."
2) Then, if using the built-in Outlook editor, simply go to Insert | Picture
and type in the URL.
3) If using Word as your editor, go to Insert | Picture -> From File, and
type in the URL.... then DON'T click "Insert".... click the little down
arrow next to it and click "Insert as Link."

it worked like a charm. thank you very much!

How does one do this in Outlook 2007? I don't see those same menu choices in
that version. Thanks!
