How to send email to only a few recipients from a group?

Using Outlook 2003.

I have created a distribution group with about 60 external contacts in it.
How do I send an email to only a few of the contacts in my distribution
group? I used to be able to do this easily in Outlook 2000, but haven't
found a way to do it Outlook 2003. I don't wanna have to copy and paste the
email address one at a time. I am an Exchange client. I have no problem
with internal Exchange groups.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Put the DL (Outlook doesn't have "groups", it has Distribution Lists) in the
To field and click the plus sign in front of it. This will expand the list
so all the addresses are visible. Delete the ones you don't want.

Thanks, but my list is long. Expanding and deleting the ones I don't need is
a lot of work compare to how it was done in Outlook 2000. In Outlook 2000, I
can select the group and pick from the contact members of that group. I'm
sure there's a way in Outlook 2003 I just don't know how. I can't image
Microsoft would remove such feature. Still need help...

Do you have evidence that there is a way in OL 2003? Trot it out, if so.

Because you can't imagine it, does that mean they didn't?
