how to select the partition on upgrades....

when I try to download updates I want to go to my drive d
because i have room there and that is where Windows is.
It is a laptop

If it's a Windows update, it goes directly to the OS partition.
If you are downloading from another site, you can place it where ever you want.
You make your choice before the download begins.

You can choose the folder where you want windows updates
to go to. In windows update
goto "personalise windows update"
and from here you can select where your updates can
download to
