How to save spreadsheet with error message " is not a valid name

I am trying to import an Excel spreadsheet into Access 2007. When I click
"Finish" I get the error message:
" is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not inlcude invalid charaters
or punctuation and that it is not too long.

I've even reduced the file name to one charater. Not sure why I'm getting
this message or how to go around it.

Copy and paste the data into a new Excel file. In this new file, make sure
that the first row, if it has the field names, doesn't have any special
characters in the name and are under 54 characters long. Also make sure that
all the columns have something in row A.
