How to save customizations?

Hello,
Every time I customize anything in Word, like paragraph formats or what
appears on the menu bars, everything is erased when I close Word and then I
have to customize it all over again. How can I get it to save my
customizations?

One way in 2000-2003 go to Menu
Tools
Options
Save Tab
Check "Prompt to Save Normal Template" and say "Yes" whenever you are asked.

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. I tried this but it still didn't work. When
I close out and re-open, all changes are gone.

If you have Adobe Acrobat 7 on your machine, see the last section of
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm. But, whatever the
reason for Normal.dot not being saved, you can use the File | Save All
method to get around it.
