how to retain 10 days items in Outlook 2003 deleted items folder?

Need to auto delete items older than 10 days from clients deleted items folder.
Several folks asked similar lately, no response has tested successfully for
me.
Exchange 2003 server
 
Set up AutoArchive to run every day and set Delete Items to delete items older than 10 days.

What have you tried? Mailbox manager on the exchange server will work if
properly configured as will autoarchive on the client.
