How should I backup my Windows? If for some reason Window
is not able to start up and I have the system state
backup files, how can I restore it?

Thanks,

Grace

I brought up this issue in my thread "An idea for Disaster Recovery."

Not many have commented on it at this point - only 1 so far. :-(

The best thing I have found so far is Backup MyPC (Stomp).

BTW: It might be a good idea to get a DVD+RW drive - they can be had
on eBay for $120 - money well spent IMHO. You can put 4.7 GB on a single disk.

The following articles are great, the first one is a basic concept, but the
second give a detailed description:

Take note on the type of restore you need:
Authoritative
Non-Authoritative
Non-Authoritative - Primary SYSVOL (single server in domain)

This is a last resort - You should first try and Repair / Repair with ERD /
Last Known Good Configuration / Safe Mode...

Good Luck
