How to restore All Program Icons

Most of my icons in the all programs list have changed to a Microsoft icon.
Can anyone tell me how to restore the individual icons that came with the
programs. Thanks

I too have the same problem. My program icons in all programs have
dissapered and are instead are showing files. The solution from Kellys Korner
did not work.
Does anyone have any other solutions?

Hello all,
I had this same problem, ugly little generic file icons. I found the answer
in another discussion group. You fix it thru properties, customize. If you're
only fixing one list just right click each entry. If you're fixing the
programs list on a computer with more than one user, right click the start
button and choose open all users, then open the program folder and change
each. You may still have to fix a few on your list, if you have downloaded
files specific to you. Hope this helps.
