In a truly boneheaded move today, my .pst file was deleted from Windows/Local
Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook and I really need to get the
Address Book and a couple of folders back. It isn't in Recyle Bin due to the
size. Win98SE and Outlook2k is what is being run. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

The only way to restore it is to first locate it. The only thing I can
recommend is searching your entire hard drive(s) for "*.pst" (no quotes).
Other than that I'm not sure what can be done.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kyle. I did try that and it is not found. argh! I
am desperate enough to purchase one of those apps that will retrieve deleted
data. Just not convinced it can work. sigh...

Don't give up hope -- I've had pretty good success with some of those
utilities in the past.
