is it possible to repeat only a few slides within a presentation without
looping the whole thing? For instance in a 20 slide presentation, if I want
to repeat slides 1-10 twice, then on click advance to slide 11. I am using
powerpoint 2003.

If you are running the show manually, you can enter a slide number to
go directly to that slide. So you could show slides 1-10 normally, then
press
1 <enter> to go to slide 1, show slides 1-10 normally (again) and then
on click advance to slide 11.

Examples: 3 <enter> takes you to slide 3,
23 <enter> will take you to slide 23 (assuming it exists)

I sometimes hit the wrong number keys, so I experimented and found that
you can
effectively cancel this slide number selection by either using the
arrow keys or by pressing zero at least (10) times.

kalexis,

I'm pretty sure this looping technique would fit the bill,
http://www.awesomebackgrounds.com/powerpointlooping.htm

Basically a set of slides will repeat for as many times as you want it to,
when you are ready for the next set of slides, just press "esc" to continue
with your regular slideshow.

but something tells me you've tried it and it wasn't for you?
