how to remove personal folder from Outlook 03

Hi,

I wonder if i could get some helps here. I know by default, outlook 2003
creates a folder called "Personal folder" for us automatically. We then add
and configure a new email account for ourselves. By default, any sent items
are sent to sent item folder in the Personal folder.

My question is i'd like to remove the Personal Folder altogether since i'm
not using it at all. All i want to see when opening Outlook is a single email
account namely the account i created or added. How do i do this?

I tried to remove Personal folder but Outlook didn't allow it saying i got
to choose first an account to be the default before removing Personal Folder.
This makes sense. But how do i set my account to be the default. I tried
Tools - Email Accounts but to no avail.

I was hoping anyone who might have had this experiences, could share with me.

Thank you in advance

Do you mean then that you connect to Exchange Server? If you do NOT connect
to Exchange server, then you DO use the pst file - all your data is stored
there. Where else would it be?

The data for your email account is STORED IN THE PST FILE - unless you use
Exchange server. You CANNOT remove the personal folder.
