How to remove IE

My IE6 browser has been taken over by an ugly browser page. I tried
to recover normal operation by editing Registry, but it comes back at
the next boot. I installed SpyBot, but it resulted in no solution.
Now I want to clean up everything associated with IE. I found then that
IE is not listed in Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. Please tell me

how I can remove IE completely so that I will be able to reinstall it as

a clean copy. Thanks

Many of these malware programs install files to other directories- not just
the IE folder. Simply reinstalling IE may not solve the problem.
