How to remove follow up flag and reminders on Contacts

K

Kathy

I just converted from MSoffice 97 to MS office 2003.
We are running on Exchange server 4.0

My contacts are all showing up with flags on them and
everyday show up with reminders. I have tried to flag
them as complete. But seems the only way I can get them
to stop sending reminders is to delete the contact.

Can anyone help with this annoying problem??

Thanks!

Are you sure it is your CONTACTS sending
reminders? This does not sound correct because
Contacts are not a "timed" type of object.

Calendar items and Tasks will send reminders.

Contacts can have reminders also, open a contact item and click on the flag
icon on the Standard toolbar to see if a valid flag is actually present. If
not then there may be incompatibilities with Outlook 2003 and Exchange 4.0.
I certainly wouldn't be using cached mode with Exchange 4.0 and Outlook 2003
itself may not be compatible with Exchange 4.0. It was never tested with it
as far as I know.
