How to remove AntiVermins or AntiVerminser

Hi Randy,

I've gone to the bleepingcomputerr site in the past and found it very useful
in helping to remove malware from various computers I have worked on.

However, I have to say that I find the page you've included in your link to
be somewhat confusing. It's hard to tell exactly where the description of
the "bad" stuff ends, and the actual fixes for the removal tool(s) begin.

For example, there is this text at the beginning:

"These infections are also know to be accompanied by a Trojan that displays
fake warning messages from your taskbar. These warning messages state that
you are infected with malware when in fact these messages are only being
sent as a tactic to scare you into purchasing the commercial version of the
program. The current title for these security warnings is System alert! and
the alert contains the following text:

System detected virus activities. These may impact the performance of your
computer. Please, use antimalware software to clean and protect your system
from parasite programs. Click this baloon to get all available software.

Tools Needed for this fix:
a.. SmitFraudFix (Automated Fix)
b.. FixAV.reg (Only needed for manual fix)
Now, I'm assuming that the two bullet items -- SmitFraudFix and FixAV.reg --
are the ACTUAL fixes, and not part of the phony paragraph immediately above
that which states: "System detected virus activities. These may impact the
performance of your computer. Please, use antimalware software to clean and
protect your system from parasite programs. Click this baloon to get all
available software."

However, because of the proximity -- and color -- of the fixes to the phony
message, many users might be legitimately confused.

I've reviewed the URL, yes it can be confusing for most.
As I have said here before, it you cannot perform the steps
yourself or another user - submit a HijackThis Log and let
one of the experts handle it from there.

Your comments are noted, Alan - I will pass them along.

Regards,
Randy
