How to register Windows XP Pro SP 2

[Need Help]

I have a brand new Windows XP Pro SP2 out of the shrink wrap. I install it
onto a clone box and click to register. MS responds back saying that
according to their records this key has surpased the number of allowed
registrations.

So, I click on to register by phone to talk to a customer service rep and
they two number that they give for Canada: 1-888-571-2048 and 1-716-871-2929
both give busy signals.

I have 29 more days before this copy dies and I will be force to reinstall
it.

And ideas on how to contact MS? Or get my license key, that was never used
yet working?

Do you mean Activation? Registration is optional.

If you don't activate it within 30 days XP stops working (I don't think
reinstalling will work either).

So, just activate it, you can do so over the internet.

if you make major changes to hardware or whatever, it may detect it as a
"new" computer
