Hi

You dont need to register or subscribe, its free.

Just download, install and perform manual check for updates with
"menu file" - "check for updates" within MSAS.
 
Microsoft AntiSpyware automatically checks for updates and you can configure
this under Options > Settings > Auto Updater.
