How to reduce CPU usage in XP Home Edition?

Loading Oracle 9i reduces the performance of XP
performance by 95%, since this uses CPU by 99%. Can
anyone suggest how to reduce the CPU usage.

If you go into task manager then in the view menu select
everything, beside each processor it states how much CPU
it is using. You can then go into start:run: msconfig, go
to services and untick whatever services/processors you
dont want to run. I did this with spuidle which used all
my cpu and its much better now. If you still want oracle
running you will just have to make the choice to
uninstall it
