I am trying to redirect all my msn mail to a personal folder on Outlook (i
have several email accounts within Outlook and prefer to consolidate them).
I am using Outlook Connector. I have tried setting “Deliver new email to the
following location†to Personal Folder, somehow that doesn’t work, the mail
stays in my msn tree structure folders.

I have also tried to outsmart this by adding a rule that says for incoming
(and a similar rule for sent/ outgoing messages): Apply this rule after
message arrives, move it to Personal Folder. Somehow that does not work
either. I also tried “Apply this rule after message arrives through
(e-mail address removed) (i.e., the specified account), move it to
Personal Folder. Neither did that work.

The rules do sometimes work if I specifically hit “run ruleâ€, but they never
run automatically.

Any advice on how to get the rules to run right? Or is there another way
entirely (besides killing my msn mail account!).

Many thanks.

Outlook doesn't support running rules automatically on msn accounts. It also
won't deliver msn mail to a personal folder because it's a server account.

Either continue to run rules manually or just drag and drop the messages to
the personal folder.

many thanks for the helpful reply anyway. I've been doing drag and drop
(yuck! what a hack!) and hoping for something better! ;-)
